Why Doesn't My Microsite Link Always Work When I Share It by Text?

You may notice that sometimes, when you text your microsite to someone you haven’t communicated with before, your microsite’s link preview is not displayed, and the link itself is not clickable.

This is actually an automatic spam-blocking feature that is unique to iPhones and cannot be turned off, but it is very easy to get around!

Here’s how it works:

If you’re texting your microsite to an iPhone user who has never texted you before, simply ask the recipient of your microsite to text you back a response.

This will essentially confirm that the link is not spam, and Apple will unlock the link immediately.

For example, you might say, “If you’re using an iPhone, text me back, 'okay' or give me a thumbs up to unlock the link to view my microsite.”

As soon as your microsite’s recipient responds over text, the link preview will appear, and the link itself will become clickable!
