How To Use the Connect Button

Collect information, book a meeting, or start a conversation built to convert using this built-in lead capture feature

What does the Connect button do?

The Connect button is designed to help you start more conversations, generate more leads, and close more deals. It is a built-in lead-capture tool that comes with your microsite and can be configured to execute one of the following actions:

  • Text message (default): the Connect button creates an auto-populated message that's addressed to the cell number saved to a given microsite's profile information. This behavior is intended to:
    • Enable someone to rapidly start a conversation with you where they feel confident about who they’re communicating with.
    • Establish a text thread where both parties can share information that is easy to reference later.
    • Allow you to collect someone’s cell number in a casual and unassuming way—perfect for networking and generating leads on the go.
  • Booking form: the Connect button uses embed code to pull up an appointment scheduler or booking page that enables clients to book an appointment with you.
  • Embedded form: the Connect button uses embed code to pull up a contact form or similar resource that enables clients to submit their information directly into an external customer relationship management (CRM) system.

Like every call-to-action on your microsite, the Connect button is intended for your prospects and clients to use while they are viewing your microsite on their own mobile device.

How to configure the Connect button

If you use a customer resource management (CRM) software like HubSpot, GoHighLevel or Zoho, or if you use a scheduling solution like Microsoft Bookings, Google Calendar or Calendly, you can integrate these systems directly into your OneTapConnect microsite(s) using embed code.

This enables you to capture and pre-qualify leads very efficiently, and it provides a streamlined user experience that reduces friction for your prospects to encourage more contacts, more appointments, and more business.

How to save embed code to your account:

  1. If you haven’t already, create a form or appointment scheduler using your preferred CRM or scheduling software.
  2. Log in to your OneTapConnect account dashboard.
  3. Navigate to the Lead Capture page.
    1. If you're the owner of a Professional Plan account, go to My Card > Edit profile information > Lead Capture.
    2. If you’re the owner, administrator, or manager of a Team Plan account, go to Company Information > Lead Capture.
  4. In a separate tab, locate the embed code for the form or appointment scheduler you need to add to your OneTapConnect account. Embed codes can typically be found under the integration or share settings for specific resources on the dashboard of the system that hosts them.
  5. Copy and paste the embed code into the appropriate field on the Lead Capture page of your OneTapConnect dashboard.
  6. Click Save.
