How To Activate Your NFC Smart Accessories

So long as you have an active OneTapConnect account and microsite, you can activate your own near field communication (NFC) Smart Accessories using the OneTapConnect mobile app.

You will need to download and log in to the OneTapConnect mobile app to activate your Smart Accessories. If you haven't already, you can download the OneTapConnect mobile app using the appropriate link below:

• iPhone users: Get it on the Apple App Store
• Android users: Get it on the Google Play Store

Important notes:

• NFC readers are located near the tops of iPhones and near the center or upper-middle area of Android devices. Also, Android users can disable NFC readers in their phone's settings. This is helpful to know while activating and using your NFC Smart Accessories.
• You do not need to activate every individual accessory in a plastic-wrapped SmartPack of Smart Accessories. Activate one, and the rest will be automatically activated at the same time.
• Custom cards have unique IDs and will need to be activated separately from plastic-wrapped SmartPacks of Smart Accessories.

How to activate NFC Smart Accessories

Instructions for iPhone users:

1. Open the OneTapConnect app.
2. On the Home page, tap Activate New Smart Accessories.
3. Watch the tutorial video, then select one of the following methods:
   
   1. Tap Scan QR Code on Smart Accessory, then use your phone's camera to scan the QR code on your NFC Smart Accessory.
   2. Tap Tap Smart Accessory Using NFC, then hold your Smart Accessory up to the NFC reader near the top of your device for a few seconds.

You'll get a confirmation message once the system has finished assigning that Smart Accessory to your microsite.

Instructions for Android users:

1. Open the OneTapConnect app.
2. On the Home page, tap Activate New Smart Accessories.
3. Watch the tutorial video, then select one of the following methods:
   1. Tap Scan QR Code on Smart Accessory, then use your phone's camera to scan the QR code on your NFC Smart Accessory.
   2. Tap Tap Smart Accessory Using NFC, then hold your Smart Accessory up to the NFC reader near the center or upper-middle area of your device for a few seconds. If this does not work, the NFC reader on your device may be disabled in your phone's settings.

You'll get a confirmation message once the system has finished assigning that Smart Accessory to your microsite.

Once activated, you can start sharing using your Smart Accessory to share your microsite immediately.
