The general process for setting up OneTapConnect NFC Smart Accessories is the same for everyone, but it is essential to know that NFC readers are located near the top of iPhones, whereas they are located near the center-back of Android smartphones.
It is also worth noting that Android users can opt to turn their NFC readers off in their phone settings, so it may be easier to default to QR codes in this case.
If you received a plastic-wrapped SmartPack containing multiple Smart Accessories, you do not need to activate every individual accessory—just activate one, and the rest will be automatically activated at the same time!
Custom cards will need to be activated separately.
Instructions for iPhone Users:
- Open the OneTapConnect app on your mobile device.
- On the Home page, tap the orange "Activate new smart accessories" bar button.
- Now, you've got two options. You can either scan a Smart Accessory QR code using your phone's native camera, or you can 'tap' to scan using your phone's NFC reader.
- If you're using the NFC method, tap the black button, then hold your accessory up to the NFC reader near the top of your device.
- You'll get a confirmation message once it's all set up!
