How to activate NFC smart accessories

Learn how to connect your OneTapConnect NFC smart accessories to your digital business cards using our mobile application.

** THIS ARTICLE APPLIES EXCLUSIVELY TO THE NEW VERSION OF THE ONETAPCONNECT PLATFORM (2.0) CURRENTLY IN BETA.

All your smart accessories can be activated by using the OneTapConnect mobile application. The steps are identical for iPhone and Android users, but the location of the NFC sensor is slightly different.

iPhone - Activate your smart accessories using the iOS application

First, open the OneTap Connect mobile application. If not already done, you can download it here
On the home screen, tap the button that says, 'Activate new smart accessories'.
Now, you've got two options. You can either scan the QR code on the smart accessory, or use your phone's NFC reader.
If you're using NFC, tap the button, then hold your accessory near your phone's NFC reader—at the very top back of your iPhone.
You'll get a confirmation message once it's all set up!

And that's it! Your smart accessory is now connected to your digital business card.

Android - Activate your smart accessories using the Android application

First, open the OneTap Connect mobile application. If not already done, you can download it here.
On the home screen, tap the button that says, 'Activate new smart accessories'.
Now, you've got two options. You can either scan the QR code on the smart accessory, or use your phone's NFC reader.
If you're using NFC, tap the button, then hold your accessory near your phone's NFC reader—usually in the back center of your android phone.
You'll get a confirmation message once it's all set up!

And that's it! Your smart accessory is now connected to your digital business card.
